The PAGLA board has voted to require all Member Programs to be USA Lacrosse (USAL) members to ensure greater consistency, safety, and organizational support across the league. By aligning with USAL, the league and its board gain comprehensive liability coverage that protects both organizations and individuals involved in PAGLA activities. In addition, USAL provides valuable legal guidance and risk management resources, ensuring compliance with best practices for youth sports. This requirement also guarantees universal background screening for all coaches and volunteers, enhancing player safety and accountability. Finally, USAL membership opens access to grants and development opportunities that will directly benefit PAGLA programs and players, strengthening the league’s long-term sustainability and growth.
In 2026 All PAGLA clubs will be designated USA Lacrosse Member Organizations. Please see above for the checklist to be compliant as well as the MANY benefits associated with being a 100% participating organization.
